Liability The Anthony
Damage will only be reimbursed if it is caused intentionally or through gross negligence of our staff. Our liability is limited to the total amount of your booking. We are not liable for indirect damages (for example, if you are unable to work). The Anthony is not liable for damage, loss, or theft of personal belongings. The Anthony is not liable for complaints arising from services provided by third parties within The Anthony.
Guest Liability
In the event that you (or one of your guests) cause damage to the hotel, or if the fire alarm goes off incorrectly due to your actions or those of your guests, then you will be held liable for the damage incurred. This concerns a minimum amount of €150 per damage incident. If a damage claim is made, our staff will inform you. We will deduct the damage amount from your credit card or send an invoice.
Staff Instructions
The instructions of The Anthony’s staff must be followed at all times.
Guests
The number of guests in the room must correspond to the number of beds. All guests must be checked in.
Security Cameras
The guest is aware of security cameras in The Anthony, for the safety of guests, staff, and their belongings.
Delivery Services
Delivery services do not have access to the hotel room floors. Ordered products must be picked up by the guest in the lobby. Food delivery must be picked up in the lobby; reception does not deliver this to the room.
Check-Out Time
On the day of departure, you must vacate your room by 11:00 AM on weekdays and 12:00 PM on weekends. . If you have not vacated your room yourself, we reserve the right to charge you an additional fee equivalent to 50% of the room rate (eviction before 6:00 PM) or 100% of the room rate (eviction after 6:00 PM). In this case, your luggage will be removed from the room and stored. The Anthony is not responsible for loss of or damage to your luggage.
Extremely Dirty Hotel Room
When a hotel room is left extremely dirty, we will charge additional cleaning costs of at least €75.
Flexible Rate Room Change
With the flexible rate, you can change or cancel your reservation free of charge until 3:00 PM on the day before the day of arrival. No deposit is required, but an authorization will be requested. If you change or cancel your reservation after this time, the first night may be charged. Check-in is from 3:00 PM, check-out is at 11:00 AM on weekdays and 12:00 PM on weekends. Rates exclude a city tax of 7% on the overnight rate.
Non-Refundable Early Booking Rate
With the non-refundable rate, you get our best price. The reservation cannot be changed or canceled and must be fully paid at the time of booking. If you change or cancel your reservation, the full stay may be charged. Check-in is from 3:00 PM, check-out is at 11:00 AM on weekdays and 12:00 PM on weekends. Rates exclude a city tax of 7% on the overnight rate.
Refund Policy
If you cancel your booking, you will be refunded via the same payment method used for the booking. If you change your booking, any refund will be credited back to the reception.
Parking
Parking on our premises is at your own risk.
Payment
We only accept payments via bank cards Eurocard/Mastercard, VISA, and almost all Dutch debit cards. No checks. An additional €5 per night will be charged if you pay with an American Express card. Contactless payment is also possible, for example, via your phone.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited inside the entire building. A fine of €150 per violation must be paid. Use your room to relax, dance, sleep, or contemplate, but NOT to smoke. Smoking or tampering with the smoke alarm will result in a €150 charge.
Outside Food & Drink
Outside food and drinks are not allowed to be consumed in the public areas of The Anthony.
Drugs & Prostitution
Prostitution, use and possession of hard drugs, and/or trafficking in hard and soft drugs are not allowed in The Anthony and will result in immediate termination of the stay and removal from The Anthony without refund of any already paid costs.
Photography
- Photography for personal use is allowed in The Anthony, provided it does not disrupt the normal operation of the space or disturb other visitors.
- While in The Anthony, visitors acknowledge and agree that they may be photographed or recorded by us or by third parties acting on our behalf. These photos and recordings may be used for promotional or marketing purposes, including on our website and social media channels. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform one of our staff members.
- Commercial photography, including photography for advertising or marketing purposes, is not allowed in The Anthony without prior written consent from The Anthony.
- Photography of artworks or other protected intellectual property is only allowed for personal use and must not be used for commercial purposes without the express permission of the copyright holder.
- Photography of events or performances in The Anthony is only allowed for personal use and must not be used for commercial purposes without the express permission of the event organizers.
- The use of drones or other aerial photography equipment is not allowed in The Anthony without prior written consent from The Anthony.
Nuisance & Unwanted Behavior
The Anthony reserves the right to deny access to The Anthony for a certain period of time or to immediately remove individuals from The Anthony without refund of any already paid costs if they:
- Cause a nuisance and/or exhibit offensive or discriminatory behavior towards other guests, staff, or neighbors;
- Use the hotel room in any way that deviates from the normal use of a hotel room.
If The Anthony deems it necessary, the group to which the nuisance-causing individual(s) belongs may also be removed, regardless of whether other individuals within that group have caused disturbances, without refund of any already paid costs.
Tenant Responsibility for Nuisance & Unwanted Behavior
The tenant of rooms or halls is responsible for the behavior of their guests. In the event of eviction due to nuisance, the tenant is not entitled to compensation. In the event of eviction, the tenant must still pay the rent for the room, the hall, any bar guarantee, and other lost revenue. However, The Anthony will deduct an amount for unmade drink purchases.
Jurisdiction
In the unlikely event of a dispute, this conflict falls under the jurisdiction of the Utrecht District Court.
Force Majeure
Circumstances beyond The Anthony’s control, which are of such a nature that compliance with the agreement can no longer reasonably be demanded (including but not limited to (i) extreme weather, (ii) revocation of one or more permits, (iii) epidemics and pandemics and measures announced by the government as a result, and (iv) national mourning), entitle it to terminate the order in whole or in part and/or to suspend its execution without any obligation to pay damages
