F&B supervisor
An old place with a new look. A few years ago, the monastery was converted into a hotel, and more recently, the hotel has come under new management. With us, you’ll find authenticity with a personal approach. We aim to be a place for the local community, the rest of Utrecht, and tourists. We strongly believe in connecting international guests with the local environment.
At Kanaalstraat 197, you’ll find the only hotel in Lombok, featuring stained glass, old wooden beams, a beautiful courtyard, a restaurant, a bar, and a chapel over 100 years old for events. From morning to evening, we have a fascinating mix of people coming and going. Hotel guests, neighborhood residents, creative freelancers, students, businesspeople. At our place, you can eat, sleep, work, meet, drink, or just drop by and end up staying. All day. Every day.
Do you enjoy working in an old yet international environment and have experience supervising at least 3 colleagues? Then you might be our new F&B supervisor.
Are you:
- Living in Utrecht, Lombok, or nearby?
- Presentable, socially skilled, stress-resistant, and guest-oriented?
- In possession of a social hygiene diploma or aspiring to obtain one?
- A true team player and a natural leader?
- Willing to work evenings and weekends?
This is what your day looks like:
Before your shift, you check in with your colleagues and then clock in. The atmosphere in our hotel and restaurant is guest-oriented but certainly not formal. We do have a dress code, so you won’t just wear your own clothes (saves you some hassle ;). With us, you can be yourself. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner to guests from all over the world or just around the corner from Lombok. At the same time, there are regular events of all sorts and sizes. You are there to ensure smooth operations. You work 100% on the floor, and in addition, you guide, stimulate, and coach employees. Together with the operational team, you are responsible for good service and efficient team scheduling. Your presence contributes to a good team spirit. At the end of your shift, you ensure proper handling of the day’s administration and communication.
Want to stick around after your shift? You’re not the only one. Working in one of the oldest spots in Lombok is enjoyable but savoring it with a closing drink might be even better. Not ready to head home? No problem! As an employee, you receive discounts on everything (rooms, food, and drinks) at the hotel.
You are responsible for:
- The daily operations of the bar and restaurant
- Training, guiding, motivating, and coaching employees
- Monitoring the quality of our service and products
- Optimizing work hours by adjusting staff schedules
- Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of all areas
- Adhering to health, hygiene, and safety regulations (HACCP)
What we offer:
This is an appointment for at least 24 hours per week. Salary is in accordance with the hospitality CAO and commensurate with your responsibilities and experience. As an employee of The Anthony, you can stay at the hotel for free once a year.
